THE VUE (Vortex Ultra Experience) is an annual trail running event through the red rocks of Sedona, celebrating its 5th year anniversary. The race features five distances—from 50 miles to 4 miles—designed for all levels, and showcases some of the best west side trails, including flowing single track, slick rock, and panoramic red rock views.
Chef Gerardo Junior will be out there running the race himself, bringing the same passion, discipline, and endurance he puts into the kitchen to every mile on the course.
The Warrior Trail Foundation is dedicated to supporting the men and women who have served our country, along with their families. Many veterans continue to face challenges after service—including loss of community, survivor’s guilt, physical injuries, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder—and the need for meaningful, ongoing support is critical.
Through its programs, the foundation uses trail running and fast-packing as a form of recreational therapy, helping veterans rebuild resilience, connection, and purpose. Participants are supported with coaching, structure, and a strong sense of community—key elements in navigating life after service.
Founded by a combat veteran who personally experienced the benefits of trail running, the Warrior Trail Foundation is built on both lived experience and research-backed approaches. The goal is simple: to create a powerful, challenging, and supportive environment that helps veterans reconnect with themselves and move forward with strength.
